our story

It was way back in 1991 that Andrew and Malcolm Holland decided to setup a trim sourcing and development business in Hong Kong to service their Australian customer base

The idea was to have a "westernised" sourcing viewpoint aligned with its customer base

and then marry this with the "eastern" production systems in China

Since then Oletta has successfully manufactured thousands of different products for its customers including : Trimmings, Hardware, Packaging, Accessories and even Fabrications

Our company prides itself in its ability to negotiate smaller manufacturer minimums, provide quick deliveries, high quality products and an efficient service

We also offer some stock holding facilities and arrange distributions direct with garment manufacturers and also provide a basic in-house QC system

The Oletta Hong Kong operation has been pivotal for over 30 years in establishing deep relationships with regional makers and also integrating what we do into the supply chain of our customers.

We are known for our :

Strength. Speed. Tenacity. Reliability. and most importantly our ECO stance

In 2019, Andrew had an epiphany whilst reviewing a range with a designer in preparation for their new season. It was almost by accident that for every traditional trim item he had, he also had an item made from a more sustainable alternative. Where there was a plastic button, he had one recycled from PET bottles or in a natural material like shell, nut, wood..... Where there was beautiful polyester ribbon, he had the alternative made from cupro (refashioned from cotton seed waste) or a 100% recycled alternative

It was clearly time to promote sustainable products as the first choice for consideration rather than some tokenism of green credentials. From this, the decision was made to create Oletta Sustainable Products. A new enterprise committed to sustainable fashion practices for every choice we make.

WE ENCOURAGE ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO "THINK GREEN" WHEN MAKING THEIR PRODUCT DECISIONS. IT IS NOT THAT HARD
